Last year, power generation in Azerbaijan increased by 0.9%
According to operational data for 2025, Azerbaijan's electricity generation was 262.3 million kWt, which increased by 0.9% to 28 657.5 million kWt.
This was reported by the Ministry of Energy.
During this period, 24 823.4 million kWts were generated at thermal power plants (ies), 2 842.5 million kWts at hydroelectric power plants (SES), and 991.6 million kWts for other sources, including 169.7 million kWts at wind power plants, 599.8 million kWts at solar power plants, and 222.1 million kWts at the Solid Waste Plant.
Compared to 2024, wind and solar power plants generated 769.5 million kW of electricity, an increase of 162.3 million kWts.
2025-ci ildə elektrik enerjisinin istehsalı “Azərenerji” ASC üzrə 25 591,8 mln. kVts (İES-lərdə 22 703,6 mln. kVts, SES-lərdə 2 827,1 mln. kVts, GES-lərdə 61,1 mln. kVts), “Azərişıq” ASC üzrə külək elektrik stansiyalarında 27,0 mln. kVts, müstəqil elektrik stansiyaları üzrə isə 3 038,7 mln. kVts təşkil edib.
Hesabat dövründə elektrik enerjisinin ixracı 1 147,3 mln. kVts, idxalı isə 177,2 mln. kVts olub.
